Click the title above to see the distributable flyer…The US government has blocked any action to stop Israel’s genocide at the UN Security Council. The UN has a mechanism to overcome this. It’s called Uniting for Peace. It requires a two-thirds vote in the UN General Assembly, where it’s one country one vote — and there are no vetoes. It was used to demand sanctions on apartheid South Africa in the 1980s. It was used to have peace keepers go into Sinai in 1956 after Britain, France and Israel attacked Egypt and Gaza. So far it has only been used regarding Palestine to make calls, like for a ceasefire….

On Thursday, January 2, 2023, retired marine biologist and artist Delaney Wilder was arrested outside Elbit Systems in North Charleston, South Carolina while peacefully protesting and passing out flyers with local activists, cradling a “Christ in the Rubble” art piece.

This summer, Rev. Munther Isaac, of the Christmas Lutheran church in Bethlehem gave an address at the Riverside Church in New York City, “Silence is Complicity,” challenging U.S. churches. Here, the Papers Project aims to provide tools to address the silence. We hope people will share these resources. If they belong to a church, have the church pass out these flyers as church bulletins this Christmas season. People can also use them as a resource to pass out at churches.
