Use Uniting for Peace to Stop Israel’s Genocide
Click the title above to see the distributable flyer…The US government has blocked any action to stop Israel’s genocide at the UN Security Council. The UN has a mechanism to overcome this. It’s called Uniting for Peace. It requires a two-thirds vote in the UN General Assembly, where it’s one country one vote — and there are no vetoes. It was used to demand sanctions on apartheid South Africa in the 1980s. It was used to have peace keepers go into Sinai in 1956 after Britain, France and Israel attacked Egypt and Gaza. So far it has only been used regarding Palestine to make calls, like for a ceasefire….
